Patrick & Ginger Nixon host the Maple Run City Group in SW Austin.

"We really like how City Groups at Austin City Life are location based. City Groups based on location provide the the platform of having a relationship with people of different ages, backgrounds and experiences; coming together for a common goal of living for Christ and fighting sin together and encouraging each other in our faith. It prevents us from our innate desire to gather in cliques and surrounding ourselves with people who are just like us.

It's also where we can be missional in our neighborhood.  A neighbor of ours been coming and the city group has been encouraging and praying for her.  She is not a Christian, but she comes to the City Group because she is drawn to the love of Christ that is exhibited.

Our City Group has made a huge difference in our family. We have come to truly love these people.  It has been such a pleasure sharing our struggles, and walking through trials and victories with them. Our City Group is more than a supplement for church, it's the place where we can transparently hash out what is being taught on Sunday and share how that is affecting our lives. We also enjoy seeing how those things are being walked out in the lives of these people that we are sharing life with."
